Adela Beran

May 26, 1930 — October 4, 2020

Adela Emma Kloesel Beran, Age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4th. She was born May 26th, 1930 to Adolph Kloesel Jr & Elsa Brunkenhoefer Kloesel, 1 mile east of Shiner. At 9 months of age, they moved to the Komensky/Bauersville area, 4 miles east of Moulton, where she would attend Komensky School. There, Adela learned to play piano. She was asked to play at several of her school programs and even at the Oak Grove School, where she played for her cousin's graduation. At age 16, her mother passed away, leaving her to tend to all the household duties for her father and herself. Being the only child, she became the ruler of the house at a very early age. On April 25th, 1950 she married John Lewis Beran at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton. They lived with her dad on the farm during their first year of marriage and then moved to town where they lived for the rest of their lives. Adela belonged to the St Joseph Catholic Church. In her earlier years, she helped at school and was a member of both the PTA and American Legion Auxiliary. She loved cooking, baking, canning and doing yard work. She did a lot of sewing for family and friends and even made her daughter-in-law's wedding dress, her son's and husband's suits and her own gown for the special day. She also made uniforms for the bands Brian played in, including the Music Ramblers, Reflections, and Legends. She worked at Beran's Gin in Moulton with her family from 1978 thru 2012 where, always with a smile on her face, she kept meticulous books and happy customers. She will be remembered for her made-from-scratch meals and desserts that always brought her family together for every holiday and birthday. She was always there for her family, no matter if it was her ailing father in his later years, her husband's ventures in raising livestock, or her son's love of music which she inspired. She and John always attended their grandkids numerous basketball games and band concerts and looked forward to their annual hunting trips to West Texas, which was quite an educational adventure each and every time. She never missed a moment of the lives of the ones she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis, her mother, Elsa Kloesel on October 9th, 1946 and her father, Adolph Kloesel Jr on March 2nd, 1990. She is survived by her son, Brian (Julia) Beran, Grandson, Brandon (Samantha) Beran, Granddaughter, Brandy Beran (John McGinley), Great Granddaughter, Lauren Bailey Beran, Great Grandson, Ryan John, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers include Brandon Beran, John McGinley, Ralph Dierschke, Stan Byard, David Rothbauer, and Donnie Rothbauer.
