Adella Pilat

Adella O. Pilat (Della) passed away April 3, 2014 at the age of 86. She was born in Praha to Frank and Mary Vacek Okruhlik June 1, 1927. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie Pilat (Feb. 9, 2008); two sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by two sons, Harvey Pilat & wife Cheryl of Moulton, and Patrick Pilat & wife Kathy of Hallettsville; one daughter, Shirley Brom & husband Donald of Houston; eight grandchildren, Krystle Michna & husband Dwayne, Gwen Herchek & husband James; Shannon Pilat & fiancée Elias Flores, Nathan Pilat & fiancée Carol Kong, Keith Pilat, Mike Brom, Suzanne Willeford & husband Brandon, and Laura Whitefield & husband Nick; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Brom, Audrey and Ethan Whitefield, Trista Michna, Jaxson Herchek, and Kyle and Emerson Willeford. Visitation will start at 8:00 am April 6, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton with rosary to follow at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 7, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Moulton. Pallbearers will be Mike Brom, Keith Pilat, Nathan Pilat, Brandon Willeford, Dwayne Michna, Nick Whitefield, James Herchek, and Elias Flores.
