Alice Haas 91, of Moulton passed away October 21, 2013. She was born on February 6, 1922 in Shiner, Texas to Ed and Vlasta Kloesel. She married Leslie Haas on October 19, 1942. She was a charter member of the Scotts Extension Homemakers Club organized in 1945 and at one point was named Citizen of the Year by the Fayette County Homemakers. For over 50 plus years she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Altar Society in Moulton. In 1973 she began her employment with Hallettsville Livestock Commission and continued in the role for the next 36 years. Alice is survived by her husband Leslie; daughter, Gloria Haas and husband Bob; son, Ike Haas; son-in-law, Robert White; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Willborn and husband Johnny; sister-in-laws, Pauline Kloesel and Rose Kloesel. She was preceded in death by two children, Ronnie Haas, and Kathy White; one sister, Mildred Boehm, and three brothers, James, Eddie, and Elton Kloesel. Visitation will be start at 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton with Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton on October 23, 2013 with Deacon Kenneth Fishbeck officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Moulton. Pallbearers will be Daryl Kloesel, Kenneth Kloesel, Elton Kloesel Jr., Gregory Kloesel, John Willborn, and Brad Willborn. Servivng as Honorary Pallbearers will be Alice's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
