Annie A. Bartos, 88, of Flatonia, Texas passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at her residence. Funeral Mass is under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia, Texas and will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, Texas with Father Eddie Winkler officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Sunday. Annie was born on April 30, 1929 in Praha, Texas. She was the daughter of Henry and Angelina (Havarda) Hajek. She married Charlie Bartos on September 23, 1947 at Praha Catholic Church in Praha, Texas. She loved caring for her flowers and playing dominoes with her friends. Annie was an early riser so she could get to the pecans first. Annie would sit in her garage cracking pecans with her sandwich beside her in the pecan box. She was faithful to her church and always prayed the Rosary. Annie is survived by one son; Charlie Bartos, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Flatonia, Texas, two daughters; Angie Hajek and her husband, Thomas of Flatonia, Texas, Annette Kocurek and husband, Michael of Flatonia, Texas, three sisters; Della Bartos of Flatonia, Texas, Rosie Koncaba and her husband, Edwin of Flatonia, Texas, Emma Welfel of Yoakum, Texas, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Angelina Hajek, her loving husband of 56 years; Charlie Bartos, Sr., two brothers; Henry Hajek, Adolf Hajek, and one sister; Lillie Vanicek. Pallbearers for Mrs. Bartos will be; Brian Hajek, T.J. Bell, Colin Kocurek, Jason Bartos, Kevin Bartos, and Zach Osborne. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Lee Bell, Scott Macdonald, and Jonathon Bell.
