Barbara Supak

Mrs. Barbara Ann Supak of Nursery Texas passed away at her home after a brief illness on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the age of 75. She was born on January 8, 1945 in Moulton to the late Anton and Annie Krametbauer. Barbara is survived by her loving children, Sharon Stevens and husband Scott Stevens of Victoria, Texas, Cindy Burke of Houston, Texas, and Joey Supak of Nashville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Michelle Burke Turek and husband Michael Turek, Christina Burke Matula and husband Brian Matula, Paige Stevens Baros and husband Brice Baros, Madalyn West and Brayden Supak; and six great-grandchildren, Jackson Matula, Lilee Matula, Casen Matula, Cam Turek, Jase Baros and Austyn Baros. She married Frankie Joe Supak of Moulton on May 30th, 1961 and resided in Gonzales, Texas until Frank's death in 2017 when she moved to Nursery, Texas. Barbara was known to be a talented seamstress and cook, and was asked by many to sew cheerleading and drill team uniforms, wedding dresses, pageant dresses, and dresses for her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. She worked at the Texas Elks Children's Hospital as a dietary supervisor for many years, for K&K Bridal Rail in alterations, and then worked at the Romberg House in Gonzales as a nutritionist until her retirement in 2017. Some of her favorite activities were sewing quilts and baby blankets, spending time with her great-grandchildren, and being called "Granny-Bird". Barbara is preceded in death by parents Anton and Annie Krametbauer and her husband Frankie Joe Supak. Pallbearers for the service will be Brice Baros, Richard Brotze, Mike Burke, James Laake, Joseph Snow, and Michael Turek. Visitation for Barbara will begin Friday, March 13, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, Moulton, Texas with Rosary following starting at 6:30 PM. Funeral mass will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moulton, Texas with Father Gabriel Maison officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Moulton, Texas.
