Brian Keil Brunner shed his earthly bonds on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 45 years of age. He was born September 30, 1975 in Shreveport, LA to Dennis and Georgia Brunner. Brian moved with his parents in 1976 to Houston and graduated from Westfield High School in 1994. He attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated in 2000 with a degree in Construction Science. Brian was a home builder in Austin and Flatonia for 20 years. Brian's first passion was his children, Kaylee, Peyton and Luke. His second passion was hunting and fishing. Ironically, he passed on the first day of hunting season. Brian leaves to mourn his parents Dennis and Georgia Brunner, his beloved sister Amber Brunner Carruthers (TJ), his children Kaylee, Peyton and Luke Brunner, his pets Deets and Newt. He is survived by his nieces Paige and Meredith Carruthers both of whom he adored. Survived by his cousins Bill, Kathy (Tony) and John Hahn and Jim (Geneva), John (Lucero), and Robbe Brunner. Left to mourn are his aunt and uncle Ray and Barbara Mattern Hahn. He is also survived by his childrens' mothers, Angela Driskill and Tara Hunter. In addition, special friend Nancy Hunter and her husband Stephen (recently deceased). Godparents, Jim and Linda Schwarzbach. Many thanks to his elementary teacher, Beth Chippendale who helped form his young self. Many thanks also to his "other mother" Betty Bass. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Annette and Felix Brunner of Flatonia. He had a special bond with his grandfather Felix whom he adored. Also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Martha Mattern of Houston, his aunt and uncle Richard and Barbara Brunner and cousin, Dick Todd Brunner. Brian was the most caring, loving son a parent could ask for. He had a special bond with his father Dennis who taught him everything about hunting. They enjoyed many hunting trips together from the time Brian was six years old. Like most of us, Brian had his demons that he had overcome in recent years. He was a deeply spiritual young man and was very happy at the time he passed. He touched so many lives by helping, caring and reaching out to those needing his advice. Brian was our rock. Our hearts are broken. We know he is with his Lord and all is well with his soul. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation that will benefit Brian's three children - Kaylee, Peyton and Luke. Donations can be made out to "Brian Brunner's Children" and mailed to Flatonia National Bank, PO Box 130, Flatonia, TX 78941. Words of comfort can be sent to the family at www.smithfuneralhomeflatonia.com Smith Funeral Home - 128 E. 5th Street Flatonia, Texas 78941 Phone #-361-865-3311
