Carlos Saenz

Carlos Manuel Barron Saenz of Waelder passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the age of 76. Carlos was born April 1, 1934 in San Francisco, Mexico to the late Jose Saenz Jordan and Socorro Barron Saenz. He is survived by his wife, Juanita M. Saenz of Waelder; three sons: Ruben Saenz of Dallas, Carlos Saenz, Jr. of Waelder, and Abel Saenz of Albuquerque, NM; three daughters: Lola Rojas of Waelder, Maria I. Saenz of Lubbock, and Nita Saenz of Lubbock; five brothers: Manuel Saenz of Juarez, Mexico; Enrique Saenz of Juarez, Mexico, Luis Saenz of Lubbock, Jose Saenz of Juarez, Mexico, and Rogelio Saenz of Juarez, Mexico; two sisters: Amelia Cervantes and Idelia Estrada, both of Mexico; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ricardo Saenz; two daughters, Rosalia Saenz and Rosairo Saenz; one brother, Francisco Saenz; and one sister, Juanita Saenz. Visitation will be begin at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 7, 2010 with Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Services will be held Thursday, April 8 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waelder. Burial will be at a later date in Lubbock, Texas.
