Charles Cochran, age 81, of Moulton, TX. passed away on August 14, 2010. Charles was born in San Antonio, TX. on September 18, 1928 to the late Clyde and Verne (Schwab) Cochran. He was married to Laverne Gibson on December 6, 1953. Charles had the opportunity to experience many joys in his life time. He and his wife LaVerne were blessed with one son and one daughter. Before his passing, Charles also had the chance to enjoy the blessings of 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Thelma Cochran and an infant brother. He is survived by his wife; LaVerne, son; Charles Cochran with wife Vickie, daughter; Linda Rodriguez with husband Richard, sister; Verna Griggs, 4 grandchildren: Scott Brown with wife Tiffany, Patricia Gabler with husband Lauren, Christyn McCann with husband Jason and Jared Cochran and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 from 1pm to 9 pm at Smith Funeral Home- Moulton. Service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11 am at the Old Moulton Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Moulton Cemetery. Pallbearers: Scott Brown, Jared Cochran, Lawren Gabler, Jason McCann, Joe Sullivan, and Joe Kelly; Honorary Pallbearers: Patricia Gabler, Christyn McCann, Ashley Gabler, Chelsea Gabler, Landen Gabler, Justin Brown, Sommer Brown, Nathan Castro, and Ayden Brown. Family request donations be made to the Old Moulton Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Smith Funeral Home-Moulton. 361-596-4631.
