January 12, 1934 — May 9, 2016

Charles William (Bill) Horn died May 9, 2016. He is survived by his wife Cathy and his children: daughter Heather and her husband Lee Cap; son Christopher and Jennifer DiGregorio; son, Dr. Geoffrey Horn and wife Dr. Saskia Lytle-Viaria. Bill held a very close relationship with his wife Cathy's family, "the Small Clan"; Cecelia Cook and her late husband Merv and their children, and Ed and Pam Small and their children. Born January 12, 1934 in Glendale California, Bill graduated from the school of Commerce at USC with a Bachelor of Science in 1959. He began a lifelong career in the Outdoor Advertising business with Foster and Kleiser and RJ Reynolds in California. After relocating to Austin in 1982, he retired as General Manager of Reagan Outdoor Advertising in 2002. As a former director of the Travis County Livestock Show, he was most proud in supporting the youth of Travis County in stock show programs, especially the Youth Fair. Bill and Cathy enjoyed the country and moved to Norman's Crossing in Williamson County in 1986. Many fun gatherings and adventures transpired at "Cottonwood." They moved to Flatonia in Fayette County and continued the quiet community life with new friends and new adventures. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Borgstedte and the many physicians and their assistants for their care and friendship through the years. Memorial contributions can be made to the Fayette Community Foundation; PO Box 430. La Grange TX. 78945 or the Settlement Home for Children; 1600 Peyton Gin Road, Austin, TX, 78758.
