Consuelo (Rodriguez) Melchor, age 87 passed away on Saturday January 27, 2018 in Cedar Park, Texas. Consuelo was born September 11, 1930 in Waelder, Texas to Felipe and Julia (Martinez) Rodriguez. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Cedar Park, Texas. Consuelo is survived by her sons, Morris Melchor and wife Lisa of Cedar Park, Brigido Melchor and wife Delmy of Houston, Robert Melchor and wife Blanca of Spring, Lino Melchor and wife Sandi of Liberty Hill, and Felipe Melchor of Montgomery ; daughters Mary Smith and husband Smitty of Liberty Hill, Christina Holub of Schulenburg, Julie Melchor and husband Troy of Montgomery, Cesaria Cedillo and husband Francisco of Flatonia, and Molly Erickson and husband Melvin of Huntsville, brothers Alberto Rodriguez, Raymond Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Felipe Rodriguez, Benny Rodriguez, Jerry Rodriguez, and sisters Esperanza Villela, Matilde Melchor, Polly Chino, Tina Olson, Lupe Hinojosa, Margie Villarreal, and Toni Gonzales. Consuelo was preceded in death by her husband Lino E. Melchor, parents, daughter Mary Helen Melchor, two brothers, and one sister. A visitation for Consuelo will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Flatonia Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Rowell officiating. A burial will follow at Waelder Community Cemetery in Waelder, Texas.
