Cynthia Baca

Cynthia Ann Robinson Baca, 79, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 after a hard fought illness. She was born September 6, 1941 in Shiner, Texas to Bryon and Leonita (Pavlas) Robinson. Cynthia was educated in Flatonia and graduated from Flatonia High School in 1959. She married Edwin Baca on May 24, 1960 and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Cynthia was an avid reader, jigsaw puzzler and fan of the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Cynthia is survived by her brother, Gregory Robinson (Myra); her children: Emery Baca (Janet) of Alvarado, Melanie Baca of Alvarado and Bryon Baca (Jennifer) of The Woodlands; her grandchildren: Michael Baca (Kandi), Christopher Baca, Benjamin Baca, and Joshua Baca; her great-grandchildren Jacob Ledezma, Allison Baca, Hayden Baca and Kathryn Baca. Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband Edwin "Eddie" Baca; her daughter Kelly Baca; her father Bryon Robinson and her mother Leonita (Pavlas) Robinson. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Baca, Christopher Baca, Benjamin Baca, Joshua Baca, Hayden Baca and James Robinson. A visitation for Cynthia will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia, Texas with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will be Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, Texas. Burial will occur Saturday, September 4, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Praha, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Flatonia Volunteer Fire Dept. in Cynthia's memory.
