Dagmar Mary Novosad, 87, of Shiner, Texas, passed away July 11, 2017 in Shiner, Texas. She was born April 25, 1930 to Alexander and Sophie (Mikel) Petruzela in Moulton, Texas. She is survived by her sons Joseph J. Novosad of Shiner, Edwin E. Novosad Jr. of Gonzales, David M. Novosad and wife Kim of Yoakum, Gerard C. Novosad and wife Theresa of Yoakum, daughters Jeanette A. Raabe and husband Walter of Muldoon, Mary D. Wright and husband David of Shiner, and Catherine M. Stoner and husband Claude of Hallettsville, twenty-two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Dagmar is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Edwin Emil Novosad Sr., her parents, four sisters, and three brothers. A devoted wife and mother. Her passing has left all with a void in the hearts of each generation, she and her beloved husband will now and forever be watching over. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, July 14, 2017 with rosary following at 7:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Maison officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
