Daniel Frank Bohuslav (1935-2016) Daniel Frank Bohuslav, 81, of Moulton, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in the Shady Oak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Moulton, after a long battle with Alzeihmer's disease. He was born on July 29, 1935, in Lavaca County, Texas, to Bohumil and Lillie (Holub) Bohuslav. On November 10, 1956 he married "his sweet heart," Helen Elizabeth Valis at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas. The couple made their home in Moulton, Texas where they resided for their entire married life of nearly 59 years. Daniel was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus in Moulton. Also, he was a Moulton Volunteer Fireman and served on the Moulton I. S. D. school board. As a young man he worked in the family's feed mill business, then drove an 18-wheeler most of his adult life and was the owner of Bohuslav Trucking, Inc. Daniel loved raising and working cattle on his farm. He is survived by his children Bobby Bohuslav (wife Sharon, children April (husband Nick), Brent, LeAnne (husband Ryan), Kayla, and Connor), Susan Jasek (husband Allen, children Byron (wife Johnna) and Gavin (wife Brittany), and Kenneth Bohuslav (wife Deana, children Whitney (husband Wesley), Keelan (wife Kelsey), Abby, and Shelby). Daniel is also survived by the joys of his life, his great grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Cecilia, Sebastian, Siena, Madeline, Caroline, Zachary, Chloe, Peyton, Hunter and soon a little boy and two little girls will be added to the family. He is also survived by: three brothers, Marvin, Clarence and Franklin Bohuslav. Daniel was preceded in death by: his parents, wife Helen in 2015, sister Margie Anders, brother Arnold Bohuslav and half-sister Anita Thurman. Pallbearers: Byron Jasek, Gavin Jasek, Keelan Bohuslav, Wesley Pohler, Brent Bohuslav, and Gary Bohuslav. Honorary Pallbearers: Whitney Pohler, Abby Bohuslav, Shelby Bohuslav, April Cornwell, LeAnne Curry, Kayla Bohuslav and Connor Bohuslav. Visitation will start at 9:00 am Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Smith Funeral Home followed by a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 5, 2016 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gabriel officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
