Daniel Pavlicek, 82, of Meadows Place, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home of 46 years on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Daniel was born at home in Moulton, Texas, on November 7, 1938 to Joe F. Jr. and Agnes Krametbauer Pavlicek. He graduated in 1957 from Moulton High School, where he was always the top math student. After high school he attended A & M University for a short time, but later enrolled and completed a business and accounting program at Baldwin School of Business. Daniel then moved to Houston where he roomed with three of his friends from Moulton. He got a job at Houston Lighting and Power in the downtown business office. He also joined the Army Reserves where he served honorably in the medical/rehabilitation branch for 6 years. Daniel never liked the suit and tie or the downtown commute to Houston Lighting and Power so after 5 years of working downtown he transferred to the Hiriam Clark Power Plant where he worked 30 years as a stationary engineer. Daniel married Connie Heinsohn on July 22, 1972. They spent over 48 years happily married. They loved to dance to Czech polka music at the Bill Mraz Ballroom, where they met, and they loved to travel, especially after he retired. Daniel is survived by his wife, Connie, and his brother Edwin, a niece, numerous cousins, friends and a sister-in-law. He was preceded in death by his dad, Joe F. Pavlicek, Jr.; his mother, Agnes Krametbauer Pavlicek; and his brother, Kenward (O.D.) Pavlicek. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 9th, with Rosary to begin at 9:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas with Father Gabriel Maison with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home in Moulton from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
