David Jerry Migl, 73, of Houston, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He was born November 26, 1943 to Jerry Joe and Mary Ann (Wagner) Migl in Flatonia, Texas. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Migl, sons Alex Migl and wife Robin of Houston, George N. Migl and wife Danielle of Albuquerque, NM, and daughter Lupita Uribe and husband Jose of Venezia, Italy, brothers Leroy Migl of Houston and Jerry Migl of Hallettsville, sisters Delores Hincir of Yoakum, Joyce Branyon of Luling, Patsy Michna of Moulton, and Lanell Henrichs of Moulton, and seven grandchildren David, Savannah, Leilani, Logan, Chloe, Maia, and Robert. David is preceded in death by his parents, and nephew Bryan Henrichs. David was raised in Moulton, Texas. There he attended Sam & Will Moore High School. After graduating he volunteered for the U.S. Army Reserve and spent 6 months in active duty at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing, bow and rifle hunting, played baseball, and scuba diving. He used to make at least 2 trips a year to the Yucatan Peninsula for 100 foot sport diving and underwater photography. After retirement, he would enjoy spending his time fishing on his pond and listening to country music. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00pm Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton. Rosary will be recited at 9:30am Saturday, October 28, 2017 with Funeral Mass following at 10:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha with Father Gabriel Maison officiating.
