Dorothy Maresh

Dorothy M. Maresh,87, passed away in the morning hours of April 6, 2015 at Shady Oak Nursing Home in Moulton, Texas. She was born on the family farm in the Oak Grove Community near Moulton on May 19, 1927 to Anton L. Pavlas and Mathilda Anderle Pavlas. On June 18, 1946 she married Laddie Jerry Maresh at st. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton. She was a homemaker and worked with Laddie on their farm west of Moulton (the Maresh Homestead) and then retired to their home in Moulton. Dorothy was a member of SPJST Lodge 184 Moulton and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 6971 Moulton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Laddie (2014); sister Eleanora Keil (2011); stepmother Mary Haba Schacherl Pavlas; stepsister Helen Muehlstein; and nephews Garland Welfl and Michael Welfl. Dorothy is survived by her sister Antoinette Rothbauer of Moulton; stepsister Lydia Pargac of Victoria; nieces Darlene (Buddy) Clark and Linda (David) Michalec and nephew Darrell (Diane)Rothbauer. Sisters-in-law Olga Maresh and Alice Jaehne and numerous nieces and nephews in the Maresh family. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015 followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton with Father Gabriel Maison officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Anderle, Buddy Clark, Daniel Mejais, David Michalec, Marlon Novosad, and Darrell Rothbauer. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis and Lorene Fishbeck and Johnnie and Linda Dierschke. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Resurrection Chapel or the Cemetery Fund or the Moulton Fire Department.
