Earl Needham, 94, of Flatonia, passed away February 19, 2009. He was born April 9, 1914 in Colony, Texas to the late Enoch and Bessie Bigley Needham. He was a retired Cattle Auction Owner and Operator and a member of Flatonia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son- Boyce Needham and wife LaVonne of Gonzales, 2 daughters- Earline Moffett and husband Ross of Georgetown and Ginny Sears of Flatonia, 5 grandchildren- Gail Maxwell, Tracy Jacques, Jason and Dane Needham, and Lori Sears and 6 great grandchildren- Edie and Birch Jacques, Trenton Maxwell, Brittney, Colton and Brett Needham.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife- Almedia Needham, grandson- Wade Needham, grand daughter- Gina Faltysek and sister- Lexie Vrana.
Pallbearers- Ronnie Beck, Joe and Bull Tyner, Melvin Asher, Sammie Sellers, Mike Cowan, Chuck Maxwell and Barton Jacques.
Honorary bearers are Jason and Dane Needham.
Visitation begins at 4pm February 20, 2009 at Smith Funeral Home-Flatonia. Family will receive friends 6pm-8pm February 21, 2009 at Smith Funeral Home-Flatonia. Services will be 2pm February 22, 2009 at Flatonia Baptist Church in Flatonia with Rev. Tim Rowell officiating with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
