Edith Beran

Edith Agnes (Kubenka) Beran passed away peacefully in Moulton, TX on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was born on December 21, 1927 to Rosie (Migl) and Joe Kubenka Jr. She graduated as salutatorian of the Class of 1945 from Moulton High School and then went on to graduate from Durham Business College. Her chosen profession was a bookkeeper. On December 2, 1947 she married Frank Charles Beran of Moulton, TX, and they were married for 34 wonderful years and had three children before his passing in January 1982. Edith is preceded in death by her husband Frank Charles Beran, her parents Rosie and Joe Kubenka Jr., and her brother Rudolf "Mike" Kubenka and his wife Catherine. She is survived by her three children: Douglas Beran, wife Diana; Rosanne Lindsey, husband Wallace; and Robert "Bobby" Beran, wife Cynthia; her nine grandchildren: Laura Ramirez, Tim Lindsey, Veronica Sicko, Ashley Alston, Serena Sullivan, Tegan Moeller, Natalie Beran, Sarah Demmer and William Scott Harkey; her thirteen great-grandchildren: Trystan Sullivan, William Vawters IV, Alayna Vawters, Hunter Moeller, Amelia Ramirez, Emma Ramirez, Brooklyn Gambrel, Erin Moeller, Kaylie Demmer, Jack Demmer, Chassidy Sicko, John Sicko, and Wayne Sicko. Edith loved her hometown of Moulton and was very active in the community. She also had many great adventures in her life. She loved to travel & to spend time with her family. She was a faithful servant of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Pallbearers: Tim Lindsey, Mark Ramirez, Timothy Moeller, Jason Demmer, Bradley Sicko, and Kevin Krejci. Honorary pallbearers: Trystan Sullivan, Jack Demmer, William Vawters IV, and Hunter Moeller. Visitation will start 2:00pm Friday May 12, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Friday May 12, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Saturday May 13, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Moulton. Burial will follow at the Moulton City Cemetery.
