Ella Migl

Ella M. Kubicek Migl passed away suddenly on March 12, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas where she had been a resident at the Incarnate Word Retirement Center. Ella was born on January 27, 1916 to Anton Kubicek and Ludmilla Kobza Kubicek of Moulton (Bauersville), Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Charles Migl. Ella and Frank were married on May 29, 1934 by Fr. Joseph Kopp in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton. She is survived by her three children, Frankie Gorrell (Stan) of Williamsburg VA; Alton Migl (Sandra) of Long Branch TX; and Louella McCamish (John, deceased) of San Antonio TX. Also surviving Ella Migl are 10 Grandchildren: Ray L. Johnson Jr. (Pamela) of Brisbane, QLD, AU; Laurie A. Johnson of San Rafael CA; Steven C. Johnson (Shiphra) of Sperryville VA; Johna Migl of Longbranch, TX; Charles Migl (Allison) of Richardson TX; Thomas Migl (Tammi) of Austin, TX; Beth Reid (Rhett) of Henderson TX; Kelly Parks (Jonathan) of Allen TX; Brandy Keovilay (Sid) of Fort Worth TX; and Stephanie Scott (Sean) of Sammamish WA. Ella will be remembered by her 4 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, and 12 great grandchildren for her humor and wit. She was an avid gardener, loved to dance, and could "block and beat" everyone at dominoes even past her 100th Birthday which she celebrated at a party with her immediate family. Visitation will start at Noon Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church-Moulton. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
