Ernestina Gutierrez

Ernestine R. Gutierrez, 88, of Waelder passed away March 3, 2014. She was born in Waelder November 11, 1925 to Isidra Sarzoza and Antonio Rodriquez. She is survived by her two daughters, Margie Zapata of Waelder, and Connie Blackwell & husband Carroll of Waelder; one brother, Ignacio S. Rodriguez of Garwood; five grandchildren, Christopher J. Alvarado, Amanda Gamboa, Roy A. Tovar, Dustin L. Blackwell, and Paul I. Tovar; four great-grandchildren, Kendall J. Alvarado, Camryn J. Alvarado, Kadence M. Blackwell, and Bristol M. Blackwell. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Florentino Gutierrez; two brothers and four sisters. Visitation will start at 10:00 am Friday, March 7, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia, with Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waelder with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow in the Waelder Community Cemetery in Waelder. Pallbearers will be Roy A. Tovar, Paul I. Tovar, Christopher J. Alvarado, Dustin L. Blackwell, Roy R.
