Frankie Paul (Paulie) Simper, of Moulton, Texas passed away due to complications from Covid on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Paulie was born July 8, 1967 in Yoakum, Texas to Doris Ann (Barta) Simper and Frank Edward Simper. He was the second-oldest of their four children, having two sisters, Mary Ann and Rebecca, and one brother, Michael. Mary Ann, his only elder sibling, passed away as an infant before Paulie was born. He is also preceded in death by his father, Frankie, and his nephew, Alex Simper. Frankie Paul lived predominantly in Moulton, Texas, and was very proud to do so. He strongly favored rural life and all of its many benefits. But mostly, he enjoyed knowing and befriending his neighbors. Paulie also preferred the labors of rural life. He was a jack-of-all-trades and worked as a butcher, machinist, farmhand, and was even known to occasionally mow a yard or two. Like many of his family and friends, Frankie Paul took tremendous pride in a day well-worked. He also took tremendous joy in time well-played. His favorite recreation was to take a cruise and go scuba diving. Most recently, he took his mother on a cruise and they enjoyed making many fond memories together. Paulie was also an avid fisherman and boater. When time didn't allow for aquatic activities, Paulie enjoyed practicing with his collection of firearms, playing a round of dominos, or just telling fish stories. Somewhere between work and play for Paulie was his cooking. His ability to smoke or sear various meats to perfection brought people together on many occasions. There wasn't any sacrifice Frankie Paul wouldn't make for his family, friend, or neighbor. He was an especially doting son and uncle. Every one of his nephews (Aidan, Gavin, Nolan, Elijah, Gabriel, Jonah, Levi, and Asher) and niece (Becca) would swear they were Frankie Paul's favorite. His servant's heart was especially on display in his activities with Faith Family Church in Gonzales, Texas. After struggling with his faith for most of his adult life, Frankie Paul was blessed and openly grateful to find a Christian community that helped him restore his relationship with the Lord. He worked in many ministries through the church, but he was most fond of his activities with the youth. The family would like to thank you for all your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Your kind words and actions are a true testament to the life Frankie Paul worked so hard to lead.
