George Esparza

George Esparza Sr. George Esparza Sr. born in Waelder, TX on April 23, 1920 to the late Remigio and Julia Esparza has gone to be with the Lord on June 10, 2016 at the age of 96. He is preceded in death by his wife Lilly Eureste Esparza, wife Maria Velasquez Esparza, daughter Rosa Elia Esparza, sisters Florentina Briseno, Victoria Garcia, Luisa Fuentes, Damiana Hernandez, Filomena Gonzales, and Lucia Flores, and brothers Baldomero Esparza, Ricardo Esparza, Bartolo Esparza, Remijio Esparza, and Espiridion Esparza. He is survived by four sons George Esparza Jr., Deciderio Salaz, Rudolph Esparza, and Frank Esparza Sr. along with two daughters Julia Castillo and Juanita Rosas, and sister Maria Escobar. He also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and six great-great-granchildren. George Esparza Sr. was WWII Veteran in the U.S. Army. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at noon with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waelder.
