George Faires

George E. Faires age 72 of Moulton, Texas passed away August 25, 2014.George was born on March 3, 1942 in Weslaco, Texas to the late Roy E. Faires Sr. and Dora Schulle Faires. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Gonzales and The IBEW Local 278 in Corpus Christi. He is preceded in death by 1 grand-son-Seth Waid and 3 brothers-Roy Faires Jr.,Harvey Faires and Thomas Faires. Survivors include his wife Joyce Faires of 51 Years, 4 sons-Paul Faires of Corpus Christi, Christopher Faires and wife Debbie of Moulton, Jody Faires of Corpus Christi, and Steven Faires of Angleton,3 brothers-Lacy Faires of Coldsprings, Henry Faires of Utopia and Marvin Faires of Corpus Christi, 1 brother-in-law-David Davis of Weslaco and 1 sister-Ruth Leonard of Irvine, Calfornia, 12 grand-children and 3 great-grand-children. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Smith Funeral Home-Moulton. Services will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Church of Christ-1323 Seydler St.-Gonzales, Texas with Minister Clay Mason officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the Moulton City Cemetery in Moulton. In Lieu of flower family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
