Georgia Ann (Brom) Raab passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, September 24, 2026. She was born in Moulton, Texas on July 15, 1927 to John J. and Mary Brom and was the oldest of five sisters. She graduated from high school in Moulton and later married Edgar R. Raab after he returned from his military service in WW II. They lived on their farm between Moulton and Shiner where they raised their son Johnnie and their daughter Roseanna.

Georgia later worked at Tex-Tan Leather and then at Kaspar Wire Works in Shiner where she developed life-long friendships at both. In everything she did, Georgia was a hard worker. She was friendly, disciplined, organized and (in her words) 'very particular'. Everything had to be 'Just Right'. She loved to sew, she was a great cook and baker, she was enthusiastic about hosting parties and family gatherings. Georgia was a devout Catholic and was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, one grandson, John R. Raab, and sisters Marian Vyvjala of Gonzales, Texas and Margie Novak of Yoakum, Texas. She is survived by her daughter Roseanna M. Friedrich and son-in-law Mark Friedrich, grandchildren Mark Raab, Jennifer (Raab) Gee, Case Friedrich and Bradley Friedrich, seven great-grandchildren, sisters Emily Migl and Martha Migl of Victoria, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends a very heartfelt Thank You to the wonderful caregivers and physical therapists at Shiner Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their commitment and caring.  Services are pending for a later date in Moulton, TX at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
