Gladys Kurtz

Gladys M. Kurtz age 84 of Flatonia passed away October 20, 2014. Gladys was born on February 12, 1930 in Old Moulton to the late Adolph Schacherl Sr. and Annie Muech. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha , Hermann Sons and loved to do seamstress work. Survivors-2 sons-Calvin and wife Jeanette Kurtz , Kermit Kurtz both of Flatonia,2 daughters- Joanette and husband Greg Kadlub of Dansville Mi,, Vanessa and husband Jim Chittenden of Flatonia, 1 brother-Willie and wife Jo Schacherl of Clear Lake,4 grand-children-Stephanie Delgado, Eric Kurtz, Shane Bartos and Dustin Cardenas, 4 great-grand-children-Jonathan Lopez, Brenna Lopez, McKenna Lopez and Tyler Bartos, 1 great-great-grand child- Luke Gonzales. She is preceded in death by her husband - Edwin Kurtz in 1999, two brothers and 1 sister. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Wenske, Richard Schacherl, Dustin Cardenas, Eric Kurtz, Jonathan Lopez and Shane Bartos. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Thursday, October 23, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, October 24, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha with Rev. Gabriel Maison officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
