Golda Martin

On January 2, 2021, Golda T. Martin of Kerrville, Texas died at the age of 97. Golda was born in Moulton, Texas on July 5, 1923 to Sam and Nancy Johnson. Golda married Sid Martin and raised their family largely as ranchers. After 28 years of marriage she divorced. Golda moved to Kerrville and worked as a postal clerk. She retired from the post office in 1993 after 20 years. Golda loved to grow flowers, enjoyed talking with people and was kind to all children. Golda is survived by Bea Kellogg (David) of Stringtown, Oklahoma, Pat Martin (Tammy) of Del Rio, Texas and Nancy Sims (Dale) of Porter, Texas. Grandchildren Amy Rember (Dewy), Wesley Kellogg (Julie), Hailey Tweedy (Aaron), Stella Martin, Krissi Winningham (DeWayne), Rachel Stroup (Perry), and Abigail Sims; great grandchildren Blake, Sydney and Mattie Rember, Hazel, Zeke and Pearl Kellogg, Nathan Tweedy and Kade Winningham. Golda was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Nancy Johnson; siblings Hazael, Mary, Buck, Dick, Jack, Ruth, Robert, Kate, James and Nancy. A visitation for Golda will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Moulton, Texas.
