Hannah Mccrory

Hannah Jane McCrory Barnes of Flatonia passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the age of 89. She was born December 14, 1921 in Waelder to the late D.D. and Nonie Sullivan McCrory. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waelder. Mrs. Barnes is survived by one son, Mike Barnes and wife Sugar of San Antonio; two daughters, Ariane (Bitta) Maeker and husband Donald of Flatonia and Jane Barnes Zankas of Corpus Christi; one brother, Pat McCrory of Millican; six grandchildren, Stephen Maeker, Melissa Maeker Bluntzer, Brad Barnes, Mark Pegg, Bob Pegg, and Kelley Pegg, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Edward Barnes; two brothers and three sisters. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Waelder with Rev. Joe Howard officiating. Burial will follow at the Waelder City Cemetery in Waelder.
