Ivy Dean Hunt, age 86 of Flatonia, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022. Dean was born on July 20, 1935 in Bartlett, TX to Millie Dusek Hunt and Ivy Hunt. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, wife Theresa Hunt and five sisters. He is survived by his daughter Marie Griffin (Eddy) of Flatonia, TX, grandson Dalton Dean Griffin, his longtime companion Jan Bonner Murphy of Flatonia, TX, Jan's daughter Jill Murphy of Bastrop, TX., Jill's son Kyler Wilson, one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for Dean will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia, TX. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Smith Funeral Home in Flatonia, TX officiated by Dr. Maurice Wilkinson. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Davilla Cemetery in Davilla, TX, also officiated by Dr. Maurice Wilkinson.
