Joe Mendoza

Joe Martinez Mendoza 64, of Schulenburg, Texas passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016. Joe was born July 22, 1952 in Waelder, Texas, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ysidro and Josephine Mendoza. Joe is survived by his wife, Grace Mendoza, five sons, Joe Mendoza Jr. and wife Susan of Dallas, Fabian Mendoza of Dallas, Robert Reyna of San Antonio, Rudy Reyna and wife Yvonne of San Antonio and Ricardo Reyna of San Antonio, along with two daughters Francis Mendoza Collins and husband Jerry of Dallas, and Amber Reyna of Schulenburg. He is survived by his siblings Ysidro Mendoza and wife Mary Helen of Dallas, Gabriel Mendoza and wife Esther of Dallas, Arthur Mendoza and wife Sylvia of Schulenburg, Manuel Mendoza and wife Mary of Ida Lou, Antonio Mendoza and wife Chana of Lubbock, Dolores Salas and husband Robert of Dallas, Aurora Castillo and husband Johnny of Dallas, Gloria Ramirez and husband Jacinto of Dallas, and Sylvia Gabler and husband Steve of Schulenburg. Mr. Mendoza also leaves nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild to cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents Ysidro and Josephine Mendoza, sister, Delma Orosco, and brother Jesse Mendoza. Visitation will start Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Smith Funeral Home-Flatonia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Waelder. Burial will follow at the Iglesia Bautista Memorial Cemetery in Waelder.
