Julie Florus

Julie Emma Florus of Flatonia passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the age of 82. She was born in Kovar, Texas to Felix and Della Pavlas Kubicek She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stanley Kubicek; sister, Genevieve Young. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Leroy Florus of Flatonia; two sons, David J. Florus & wife Lillian of Flatonia, and Dennis W. Florus & wife Debbie of Weimar; one sister, Della Nora Pittman of Dale; six grandchildren, Rachelle Demny, Staci Fike, Summer Henderson, Brianna Florus, Andrew (A.J.) Florus, and Dawson Florus; twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will start at 10:00 am Friday, April 11, 2014 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Rosary will be held at 9:15 am Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, and Funeral services to follow at 10:00 am with Father Eddie Winkler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia. Pallbearers will be Andrew (A.J.)
