Kelly Michelle Baca, 53, departed early on Thursday morning, October 20, 2016, to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Kelly had a long hard battle with cancer and she fought hard to stay with her loved ones and friends. It is with great sadness that we have lost our Kelly and pray for Peace and Comfort in this time of mourning for our family and friends. Kelly Michelle Baca, is proceed in death by her maternal Grandparents, Bryon Robinson and Leonita Pavlas Robinson and her paternal Grandparents, Herman Baca Sr. and Agnes Nikel Baca, two Aunts Agnes Branecky and Maraget Stavinoha and three Uncles Frank Baca, Ted Branecky Sr. and Joe Branecky. Kelly Michelle Baca, was born on January 30, 1963 in Shiner, Texas to Cynthia Ann Robinson and Edwin Felix Baca of Flatonia, Texas. Kelly has resided in Conroe, Texas for 33 years and is survived by her parents; Edwin and Cynthia Baca, who reside in Conroe, her eldest brother; Emery Baca and wife Janet of Fort Worth, TX, sister; Melanie Baca of Conroe, and brother Bryon Baca and wife Jennifer of The Woodlands, TX and four nephews; Michael Baca and wife Kandi and their four children Jacob Ledezma, Allison, Hayden and Kathryn Baca of Burleson, TX,; Christopher Baca of Fort Worth, and Ben and Josh Baca, of The Woodlands. Kelly spent her younger years in Flatonia, and traveling with her family to West Texas and back while her father Edwin Baca worked with the SP Railroad. Kelly went to Middle School and High School in San Antonio, Texas where the family had settled for 10yrs. Kelley graduated for James Madison High School in 1982, where she was a member of the Mighty Maverick Marching Band, the German club and Science club. Kelly attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas and transferred to Sam Houston State in Huntsville, Texas, where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree. Kelly worked as an Executive Office Assistant with Sodexo at Memorial Hermann, The Woodlands Hospital, where she was employed with them for 22 years. Kelly's hobbies were cooking, needlework, arts and crafts, games and puzzles. She loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas A&M Aggies football games cheering them on in high volume! Kelly enjoyed spending time with her family on Grandma Robbie's farm in Flatonia where we celebrated so many holidays and vacations. But of all these great moments and memories in her short 53 years, her greatest enjoyment was traveling to far off places with her best friend and loving big sister Melanie. Visitation will start at 5:00 pm Sunday, October23, 2016 followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home-Flatonia. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 24, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia with Father Eddie Winkler officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Praha.
