Laddie Maresh

Laddie Jerry Maresh, 89, of Moulton, Texas passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Yoakum Community Hospital in Yoakum, Texas. Funeral Mass is under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Moulton, Texas and will be held on Wednesday, December31, 2014 at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas with Father Gabriel Maison officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Moulton, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 9:30 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas. Laddie was born on June 15, 1925 in Moulton, Texas. He was the son of John and Anna (Beran) Maresh. Laddie Joined the US Navy in 1944 and served 12 months "Sea Duty" as a Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class. He was discharged in March 1946. He married Dorothy Pavlas on June 18, 1946 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas. He was employed by Southern Clay Products just long enough to wear-out 3 dump trucks. When he had the time, Laddie liked to go hunting and fishing. Laddie is survived by his wife; Dorothy Maresh, two sisters Alga Maresh of Houston, Texas, Alice Jaehne of Houston, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Dennis and Lorene Fishbeck. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Annie Maresh, four brothers; Ed Maresh, Rudie Maresh, Victor Maresh, Johnnie Maresh, three sisters; Della Mikulenka, Lillie Hogan,Stella Maresh.
