Lalie Kocian

Lalie Lucy (Kocian) Bartos, 93, of Moulton, TX, passed away June 20, 2017 in Victoria, TX. She was born January 8, 1924 to Jim and Stella (Koncaba) Kocian in Novohrad, TX. Lalie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed cooking for the family, spending time with her grandchildren, and baking pies for the Jamboree. She will be missed by all. On October 22, 1947 Lalie married Willie Bartos at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moulton. She leaves behind three sons Larry and Susan Bartos of Houston, Joe and Rosie Bartos of Moulton, and Robert and Yolanda Bartos of Moulton, one daughter Annette and Vernon Meazle of Komensky, eight grandchildren Andy Bartos, Allie Stungis (Adam), Caroline Bartos, Elliot Bartos, Noah Bartos, Cody Bartos (Amber), Bobby Bartos (Kyla), and Paige Bartos, one great-grandchild Aaron L. Bartos, two brothers Theo Kocian of Victoria and David Kocian of Yoakum, and one sister Adell Marburger. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Willie, one grandson Aaron J. Bartos, one sister Lillie, and two brothers Leo and Zef. Pallbearers are grandsons Andy Bartos, Adam Stungis, Cody Bartos, Bobby Bartos, Elliott Bartos, and Noah Bartos. Honorary Pallbearers are granddaughters Allie Stungis, Caroline Bartos, Paige Bartos, and Aaron L. Bartos. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm and a rosary will follow at 7:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Gabriel Maison. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
