Laurentino Cruz Morales, 66, of Flatonia, Texas passed away June 28, 2017 in Victoria, TX. Laurentino was born February 3, 1951 to Pedro and Rita (Morales) Cruz in El Mango, Mexico. He is survived by his wife Marcelina Cruz of Flatonia, son Laurentino Cruz Jr. of Flatonia, daughters Rachel Henry and husband Nicholas of Austin and Sylvia Harris and husband Roosevelt of College Station, brother Rafael Cruz of Mexico, sisters Carmela Lopez of Mexico, Catalina Mondragon of Austin, and Julia Martinez of Mexico, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Laurentino is preceded in death by his parents and sister Paula Arroyo. Pallbearers are Augustine Aguillon, Jose Manzano, Ramiro Manzano, Joel Mancilla, Emilio Medina, Adam Estrada, Jilberto Mendez, Roosevelt Harris, and Nick Henry. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00am Saturday, July 1, 2017 with a Vigil Service following at 7:00pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery with Pastor Araceli Herrera officiating.
