Lee Schoenfeld

November 11, 1922 — January 2, 2017

Lee R. Schoenfeld, 94, passed away January 2, 2017 at Shady Oak Nursing Home, Moulton, Texas Lee was a World War II Veteran and was a member and Commander of the Moulton VFW. He belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was proud to be the auctioneer for the church picnic for many years. Lee also loved to play dominos and go dancing. Lee is survived by his sons, David Schoenfeld and wife Shirley and Michael Schoenfeld of Moulton, and daughter, Carolyn Whitmire and husband Dan of Moulton. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Emma Schoenfeld, wife Anita Jahn Schoenfeld, and grandson David Keith Schoenfeld. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 4:00pm with rosary being read at 6:30pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 9:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiated by Father Gabriel Maison. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
