Lillie Jasek Zimmerhanzel passed away on May 6th, 2017 in Cedar Park, Texas at the age of 71 with her daughter Melissa by her side. She was born October 13, 1945 to Joe F and Agnes Lev Jasek in Fayette County (Texas). She attended school in Praha and graduated from Flatonia High School in 1964. On November 27, 1965 she married her high school sweetheart, Gary Zimmerhanzel. They were married for 41years until his sudden death in 2006. Lillie loved living in her hometown and spent her career at the Flatonia State Bank/Prosperity Bank where she worked her way up from clerk to Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. Her biggest joy was her granddaughter Kayla, and she also enjoyed dancing and gatherings with her family on the farm. She was an outdoors person whose yard was always full of beautiful flowers. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing to any genre - western, polka, swing; she would be the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. Lillie was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha, a 50 year member of the Praha KJZT and lifetime participant in the annual August 15th church picnics. Lillie is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Brent) Walker, and one granddaughter, Kayla Walker, all of Cedar Park. She is also survived by her sister, Patsy (Leonard) Tydlacka of Katy, three brothers, Joe (Kay) of Victoria, Charlie of Houston, and Bennie (Barbara) of Praha and one sister-in-law Judy Rohm of San Antonio. She will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother James and sister-in-law Geri Jasek. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha. Visitation will begin at 8:30 am following by a rosary at 9:30 am. Funeral services will begin at 10 am with internment at Praha Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers are Paul Jasek, Joe Jasek Jr., Brian Jasek, Brandon Jasek, Rodney Thompson and Brian Rainosek.
