Mrs. Lorene Hoepfl of Schulenburg passed away April 7, 2011 at the age of 88. She was born June 28, 1922, in Breslau, to the late Eddie and Albina (Novasad) Opella. Mrs. Hoepfl is survived by 1 brother, Edward Opella and wife Lillian of Victoria; 1 sister-in-law, LaVon Rosenauer of Fort Worth; 1 sister, Evelyn Beck of Jourdanton; and 2 grandsons, Matt Cerny and wife Bridgette of Moulton, and Mark Cerny of Houston. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Brooke, and Kristin Cerny. Mrs. Hoepfl is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo J. Hoepfl (October 23, 1978); daughter, Barbara Cerny (2003); 1 brother, Dan Rosensuer; and 1 son-in-law, James Cerny (2001). Visitation will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Rosary will be 7:00 pm Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, April 11, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Praha, with Father David Berger officiating. Graveside Services/Burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Cerny, Matt, Cerny, Josh Cerny, John Beck, Danny Rosenauer, ad Rodney Rosenauer.
