Manuella Gutierrez

Manuela Gutierrez, 102, of Waelder, Texas passed away December 28, 2012. Manuela was born November 10, 1910 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico to the late Cesario Almaraz Sr. and Cecelia Gutierrez Almaraz. She was a homemaker, seamstress, dedicated Wife and Mother and a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waelder. Manuela thought her greatest pride was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She had an amazing memory, commitment to hard work and most importantly, she lived her life as a Good Samaritan and devote Catholic. Survivors: one daughter; Mary Mendoza of Dallas, one sister; Esther Velasquez of Houston, 14 grand children, 20 great grand children and 4 great-great grand children. She is preceded in death by husband; Ruben Gutierrez, one son; Rupert Gutierrez, one daughter; Mary Alice Eureste, two brothers; Cesario Almaraz, Ernest Almaraz, and two sisters; Maria Delgado and Angelina Ayala. Join us as we celebrate her life; beginning with visitation on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home with a rosary following at 7:00 pm. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waelder with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow in the Waelder Community Cemetery.
