Mario Hernandez

Mario Arturo Hernandez, age 30 of Waelder passed away October 12, 2013. Mario was born October 20, 1982 in Seguin, Texas. He was employed at J & B Sausage in Waelder, member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church and did various community volunteer work. His main hobby was fishing and Bar-B-Queing for friends and family. Survivors include his parents, Arturo and Cathy Hernandez ; wife, Holly Brister; son, Clayton Dudley Jr.; daughter, Dayliana Hernandez; sister, Catrina Hernandez; grandparents, Toribia Castro Olmos, Domingo Olmos Sr.; two nephews, Alec Manzano, and Adam Hernandez; aunts, Diane, Margie and Crystal; uncles, Florentino, Chris, and Domingo Jr. all of Waelder. Visitation will begin at the Smith Funeral Home at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Rosary will be recited at the St. Parick's Catholic Church in Waelder at 6:30 pm Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 16, 2013 with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow in the Waelder Community Cemetery.
