Marvin Jasek Sr., 86, of Moulton, TX, passed away July 10, 2017 in Victoria, TX. He was born July 1, 1931 in Moulton, TX to Julius and Pauline (Vyvjala) Jasek. He was a member of the American Legion, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, and a Veteran of Foreign Wars. He is a Korean War Veteran. Marvin is survived by his wife Elsie, sons Marvin Jasek Jr. and wife Elaine of Weimar, Michael Jasek and wife Marla of Palacios, daughters Beverly Koranek of Moulton, Pauline Boothe and husband Kenneth of Moulton, and Kay Benes and husband Pat of Shiner, brother Victor Jasek and wife Gloria of Moulton, sisters Dorothy Pavlas of Schulenburg, Annie Zemlicka and husband Marvin of Houston, Lillie Kalich and husband Henry of Shiner, and Dorothy Jasek of LaPorte, fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rose Jasek, grandson Ross Jasek, son-in-law Michael Koranek, brother J.J. Jasek, and brother-in-law Felix Pavlas. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 am, Thursday, July 13, 2017 with Rosary following at 6:30 pm, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 am, Friday July 14, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery officiated by Father Gabriel Maison.
