Lawrence T. Ballard of Flatonia passed away January 26, 2011 at the age of 65. Mr. Ballard was born March 20, 1945 to the late John Lawrence and Gretta (Jackson) Ballard, in Houston, Texas. "Larry" was a very loving husband and wonderful father, good friend and neighbor. Larry was an active amateur "ham" radio operator for 54 years, involved in Homeland Security, Stormwatch, and Emergency support for catastrophic events. He was an active volunteer and officer in the many clubs in which he was a member. He worked in electronics having had two computer shops, He was in the navy, wounded in Viet Nam, had various journeyman licenses and was quick to give help or aid to anyone at any time. He had many friends in many countries. Larry is survived by his wife Sara (Bobbie Lou) Angone), brothers; John and Charley Randall, son John wife Cheryl, grandchildren Kaila and Alex Ballard, son Larry Ballard Jr. (Ann Von doran), grandchildren; Mattew, Kelly, Nathaniel, Christopher and Nicholas Ballard, son Michael Ballard (Debora), grandchildren; Daniel Clark (Larissa), Great grandchildren Noah and Jacob Clark, Daughter Krissa (Kyle) Myers great grandchildren; Savannah, Mckinsey, Hank and K.J. Myers, Grandson David Clark (Martha) Great grandchild; Jayda, Grandson Dennis Clark (Jen) greatgrandchildren Duncan and Sioux Clark, grandson Douglas Clark and many loving cousins. Larry is preceded in death by his parents. His love for cats was wll known to everyone who knew him and he was also survived by Carmine, Guido and Bill the cat.
