Leonard John Novak, age 69, of Flatonia passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010. Mr. Novak was born March 26, 1940 in Flatonia to Adolph Novak, Sr. and Idella Mica Novak.
He is survived by one brother, Adolph Novak and wife, Linda, of Pleasanton; one sister, Angeline Boehnke and husband, Wiley, of Flatonia; one brother-in-law, Raymond Briscoe, III of New York; one nephew, Raymond Briscoe, IV of Tennessee; and five nieces: Johnnie Lynn Villalobos and husband, Roy, of LaVernia, Tammy Voigt and husband, Roper, of Flatonia, Tracey Foster and husband, Tim, of San Antonio, Kimberly Heffernan and husband, Jeff, of Georgetown, and Carol Harrod and husband, Marc, of Corpus Christi. Mr. Novak was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margaret Briscoe; and grandparents, Ed and Frances Mica, and John and Clara Novak.
Visitation for friends will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 2 at Smith Funeral Home - Flatonia. Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home - Flatonia. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia, followed by burial at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia with Father Eddie Winkler officiating.
