Mrs.Helen Gomez

Helen G. Velasquez age 71 of Flatonia passed away February 27, 2008. She was born July 21, 1936 in Seguin to the late Cipriano and Ygnacia Mirelez Gomez. She was a Homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Flatonia. Helen is survived by sons Danny Frank Velasquez and wife Barbara, Andrew Velasquez and wife Susan all of Flatonia and Steven Velasquez and wife Rosie of Moulton, daughters Mary Alice Turner and husband David , JoAnn Estrada and husband Max Jr., Patsy Velasquez, Lisa Todd and husband Mark all of Flatonia, Sylvia Kocian and husband Clifford of Jourdanton, Mary Jane Wheeler and husband Rodney of Abilene, 18 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Foster Grandchild, a sister Alice Palomarez of Fresno, Tx. and 4 brothers John Gomez and wife Lucy of Stanford, Clemente Gomez and wife Gloria of Houston, Robert Gomez and wife Beatrice of Fresno, Tx. and Cipriano Gomez Jr. of Houston. She is preceded by her Parents, a brother Servando Gomez, son Roy Velasquez, daughter Mary Ann Velasquez and grandson Gregory Brian Turner. Visitation will begin 11 AM, February 29, 2008 with Rosary at 7 PM at Smith Funeral Home Flatonia. Services will be 10 AM, March 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Flatonia with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Joe Hybner officiating.
