Mrs.Julia Burciaga

Julia B. Reyes, age 76, of Waelder passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Mrs. Reyes was born January 28, 1933 in Waelder to Isaac Burciaga and Lenora Vargas Burciaga.

Mrs. Reyes is survived by three sons: Pedro Reyes of Round Rock, Joe Angel Reyes of Round Rock, and Arthur Reyes of Angleton; nine daughters: Josefina Herrera of Winter, Dominga Castro of Hutto, Virginia Reyes of Round Rock, Margarita Martinez of Round Rock, Gloria Toro of Schulenburg, Estela Vega of Dilley, Angelita Rodriguez of Taylor, Idella Brown of Schulenburg, and Norma Reyes of Waelder; three brothers: Felipe Burciaga of Houston, Juan Burciaga of Houston, Felix Burciaga of Houston; four sisters: Dora Burciaga of Cleveland, Josie Obregon of Fort Worth, Gloria Ibarra of Waelder, and Rosa Hernandez of Waelder; also 32 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ventura Reyes, daughter Victoria Reyes, sister Alejandra Reyes, brother Aristeo Burciaga, and grandson George Suniga, Jr.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Friday, January 15 at Smith Funeral Home - Flatonia. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Friday at Smith Funeral Home - Flatonia. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 16 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waelder with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow at Waelder Community Cemetery.
