Rose Nell (Pilat) Manning, age 84, of Moulton, Tx passed away August 8, 2021 of Natural Causes at her daughters' home where she has been living in Trinity, Tx. Rose was born November 26, 1936 to Albert and Alice Pilat. She was raised in Moulton, Tx and attended Moulton High School. After school, she moved to Houston for 40 years where she and her husband raised their children. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved back to Moulton in 1990. Rose was always happy and smiling and bringing joy and laughter to everyone she came in contact with. She was very talented at cross-stitching and made many beautiful pieces she gave to friends and family. She was an avid lover of music and dancing and always had her feet moving to the music. She is survived by her 3 children, Deborah O'Brien of Humble, Jeffrey Manning of Houston, and Belinda Manning of Trinity. Her grandchildren Kristy Jones and Haley Manning. Her great-grandson Taylor Hansen and her niece Valerie Singleton along with many other family members. Rose is preceded in death by her Husband Joseph (Jay) Manning, her parents Albert and Alice Pilat, and her sister Gloria Sledge. A viewing and visitation for Rose will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Smith Funeral Home, 404 West Bobkat Drive, Moulton, Texas 77975. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 404 West Bobkat Drive, Moulton, Texas 77975. A burial will occur Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery, 726 N Penn St, Flatonia, TX.
