Ruth Koncaba, age 81, of Flatonia, Texas passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2020. Ruth was born March 10, 1938 in Shiner, Texas to Fred and Francis Heinzel Brunkenhoefer. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Koncaba; sons Ronnie Koncaba (Lynn) of Moulton, Texas; and Kenny Koncaba (Karen) of Cypress, Texas; daughter Tutti Lockstedt (Mike) of Houston, Texas; brother Elton Brunkenhoefer of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Rachael, Audrey, Brandon, Carl, Michelle, Jennifer, and Nick; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kason, Kynlee, Charlotte, Cash, Brianna, Paige, Ethan, Kade, Mckinzie, Gwyn, Keller and Michael; great great grandchildren, Emmalou and Jasper. Ruth was preceded in death by; son Gregory Koncaba; mother Francis Brunkenhoefer; father Fred Brunkenhoefer; and brother James Brunkenhoefer. Visitation for Ruth will begin on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 128 E. 5th Street, Flatonia, Texas followed by a rosary starting at 4:00 PM. Funeral mass will be Monday, February 24, 2020 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 516 S. Faires St., Flatonia, TX. Burial will occur Monday, February 24, 2020 at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, TX 77055.
