Sabino Gutierrez

Sabino Gutierrez Alvarado, age 63, of Flatonia, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012. He was born June 25, 1949 in Mexico City to the late Pascual and Maria isabel Alvarado Gutierrez. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sabino worked building fences and in construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family, escpecially his grandchildren. He liked to be outside with his animals, and enjoyed singing. He is survived by his wife, Maria G. Gutierrez; son, Jose Jorge (Margarita) Gutierrez of Flatonia; daughters, Rocio (Abel) Manzano of Flatonia; Guadalupe Gutierrez (Lucio Calchado) of Moulton, Emma Gutierrez (Guillermo Manzano) of Moulton, Blanca (Fernando) Vargas of Flatonia, Yolanda Gutierrez (James Dunkin) of San Marcos, and Esmeralda Gutierrez of Flatonia; brother, Jose Luz Gutierrez (Leonor) of Mexico; sister, Maria Luisa Gutierrez (Candalario) of Mexico; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Sabino Gutierrez; and daughters, Emma Gutierrez and Yolanda Gutierrez. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia.
