Santos Martinez Jr., age 73, of Waelder, Texas passed away on Friday March 27, 2020. Santos was born January 20, 1947 in Waelder, Texas to Santos Martinez Sr. and Guadalupe Villaloboz Martinez. Santos is survived by son David Losoya of Houston, Texas; daughters Joann Limon (Jorge) of Houston, Texas, Stephanie Losoya of Houston, Texas, Theresa Losoya of Houston, Texas and Monica Losoya-Stutes of Houston, Texas; brothers Joe Blaz Martinez of Houston, Texas, Julio Martinez of Waelder, Texas, and Lucio Martinez (Maria) of Waelder, Texas; sisters Mary Villalovos of Waelder, Texas, Tanis Herrera (Jorge) of Houston, Texas and Valentina Martinez of Edna, Texas; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Santos was preceded in death by his parents Santos Martinez Sr. and Guadalupe Villaloboz Martinez, two brothers Genaro (Henry) Martinez and Domingo Martinez and one son-in-law. A private visitation for Santos will be held Sunday, March 29, 2020 starting at 2:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, Flatonia, Texas. A private graveside service will occur Monday, March 30, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Waelder Community Cemetery, Waelder, Texas. A rosary & memorial service will be held at a later date.
