Steven Velasquez

Steven Velasquez of Moulton passed away November 15, 2013 at the age of 47. He was born in Galveston on January 3, 1966 to Dan and Helen (Gomez) Velasquez. He worked as a plant operator at Dairy Farms of America in Schulenburg for the past 4 years. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Velasquez of Moulton; father, Dan Velasquez of Flatonia; two brothers, Danny Velasquez & wife Barbara of Flatonia, and Andrew Velasquez & wife Susan of Praha; six sisters, Mary Alice Turner & husband David of Flatonia, Sylvia Kocian & husband Clifford of Jourdanton, Mary Jane Wheeler & husband Rodney of Abilene, JoAnn Estrada & husband Max Jr. of Flatonia, Patsy Velasquez of Flatonia, and Lisa Todd & husband Mark of Flatonia; two brother in laws; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and God Children. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Velasquez; brother, Roy Velasquez; sister, Mary Ann Velasquez; grandparents; mother-in-law, Julia Reyes; and father-in-law, Feliciano Reyes. Visitation will start at 8:00 am Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Eddie Winkler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart catholic cemetery in Flatonia.
