Tiburcio "Tivo" Mejia, of Moulton, Texas, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at the age of 70. He was born and raised in Moulton, Texas and graduated from Moulton High School in 1969. He was drafted into the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War, earning awards of National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Marksman (Pistol) and Sharpshooter (Rifle). Tivo loved to help anyone, especially when it came to cooking. Anyone who knew him, also knew he loved to play dominoes (especially at Machart's Store) and of course drink his beer. He was a current member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and of the American Legion Post #392 where he served as a past Commander and also served as a past Commander of the VFW Post #6971. Tivo is survived by his mother, Maggie Mejias; brother Daniel "Preacher" Mejias and wife Roberta; nephew Dayton Mejias and daughter Katherine Martinez.
